So I plan to transition from relaxed to natural hair but I would like some guidance and tips before I make the transition. I'm really nervous about doing the big chop. Is there a way I can go natural without doing the big chop or is the big chop the best way to go? And if you've gone from relaxer to natural how did u manage?

My hair is naturally curly & i used to relax my hair monthly but i stopped for 2 years & it was fine. I say you should stop relaxing it & try to flat iron or try braids & other protective styles so it can grow out a bit then cut it. But you will have to cut the relaxer parts out to be fully natural of course lol. So grow it out some then cut or keep clipping ends every 4-6 weeks until all relaxer parts are gone then enjoy the natural. : )

trust me, it's gonna fall out. (the relaxed part)
You can gradually cut it....wear braids or weave until its grown out.
You actually prob look really cute with a big chop. Honestly! So don't be afraid!!!!
I'm a Natural girl that wears weave. You should DEF check out my youtube channel!!

I'm not natural for a year and I never did a big chop. The whole point of going natural for me was so that my hair would grow so cutting it all off was not an option for me! I did trim about half an inch off my hair every month and a half, and you have to work a little harder to get you new growth as straight as the relaxed parts but it is definitely doable. the most important part is to baby your relaxed hair because if you don't it will just break off anyway :/ hope I could help!
