I'm having a hard time doing a sock bun too! I'll try it like 3 times and then give up and just throw my hair up in a messy bun. Lol!

When I first did this, I got a long sock and cut the foot part off. Then rolled it up into the shape of a hair donut and it works the same :) I think the actual donuts work better and you can get a variety of different sizes, super cheap you don't need to get an expensive one because they all work the same and easy to work with :) good luck x
