First step to finding the right shade would be to determine if you have a warm or cool undertone. Then go from there with warm or cool colors, a neutral pink is a good starter lipstick color. :)

You should go to Sephora and they would love to help you. There may be online tutorials for it, as well.

I think the best thing to do is go to a place like Sephora or MAC where they have testers and play with the colors. Sometimes colors you would never think of buying look amazing! :) Just be sure to ask a sales assistant to sanitize everything you use! There's an article on this website about etiquette at the counter. :)

I work at Sephora and I recommend Bite Cosmetics. Theyre lipsticks are highly pigmented and stay on and feel good all day. unlike other lipsticks they don't try your lips out and they have food grade in them so they are Safe! try the color pomegrante! its a gorgeous red. :)

Definitely go to a counter & play around with some colors. Once you figure out what you like, you can get lipstick from anywhere. You can wear anything, just have to learn to make it work for you with lipliners.
