Ok so I had pro activ a while ago, it worked while I was using it but soon as I stopped the acne came right back. Now I'm trying over the counter products and its not going too well. Has anyone else used pro activ & experienced this? What are your experiences with proactiv? I don't want to have to order it again but feel like I have to :/

This happens when you use Proactiv. Your skin becomes addicted to the chemicals in it and cannot remain clear with out it. The Proactiv Line also bleaches freckles and towels, so obviously it is in no way good for you. I suggest sticking to natural products and stay with them for at least a month so your skin recovers.

I use x out by pro activ and it is amazing! I haven't had any breakouts since I started using it! But now I'm worried to stop using it 0.o.

@Mia x- out by Proactiv is the same exact formula as the proactiv cleanser, thus it does the same things

The same thing happene to me! I switched to the Simple line of face wash, toner, and moisturizer. It took about 3 weeks for my skin to get used to the new products. Your skin gets addicted to proactiv so you have to get your skin used to something else. I don't have extreme acne or anything so that may play a part in how well your skin will recover.

I haven't had any issues... I've used Proactiv's 3 Step Formula for 3 years, and I've never had a drawback. My skin is pretty clear, besides the occasional whiteheads that hide around my eyebrows. I use a pin and pop them that way, and the three step hides the scar for me. It's weird.

I have very sensitive skin and proactive gave me hives all over my face :( I stick with natural products such as African black soap, or products from lush.
