Breakage at the roots of my hair! How to Fix?

I used to tease my hair, maybe 2 or 3 times a week for a couple months, I haven't teased my hair in months but recently I've just started to notice breakage at the root of my hair. It looks really bad because it looks like I constantly have fly-away hairs all over. I know split ends can't be permanently fixed, but are there any good hair products that will help control the look of them or mend them?
