If you use a lot of heat but want a good bargain, I use Suave Professionals Damage Care Shampoo and Conditioner. I have long hair and use heat a lot, my hair is still totally soft and healthy.

I have four brands in my rotation because I find that my hair "gets used" to products after about a month and it feels healthier when I switch up every now and again.

Pantene (Volume & Body range)
John Frieda (Brunette range)
Bed Head (Styleshots Epic Volume range)
Andrew Collinge (Purity range)

Really the best brands I've ever tried. :)

im a big fan of paul mitchell's awapuhi and wild ginger shampoo and conditioner... it put keratin back in your hair which we loose when we chemically change our hair whether color relaxer or perm... it revives damage hair and it feels soooo soft when you are done washing it... it can be bought at your nearest hair salon or you can research in your area as to where to buy it.. i wouldnt recommend buying any professional product from walmart target or cvs.. anything of that sort because they arent the exact thing.. they are "fall off the truck products".

I like palmers coconut oil formula conditioner.it comes in a white tube.it smells like coconut.so if you dont like coconuts you wont like it.but i love that smell.it has to stay on for 5 -10 minutes.i leave it on for 7 minutes.it makes my hair soft and silky.i love it!!!!!!
it repairs and renews dry ,damaged hair.

Shampoo and Conditioner should be chosen based on your hair type. Hair types can range from Color Treated or Damaged to Oily or Fine.

Since I have Color Treated Hair, I am using a Bumble and Bumble Shampoo that is very mild to help keep the color in. I also like to deep condition once a week with NuMe Style's Intense Renewal Mask.

I totally agree with Mindy, hair type is important when picking shampoo and conditioner. I have fine, frizz-less, healthy hair that is very flat, so I alternate between 3 different shampoos, depending on the day. Aussie Aussome Volume, Garnier Pure Clean, and Head and Shoulders Classic Clean. For conditioner, I either use Aussie 3-Minute Miracle or their leave-in conditioner, both of which are amazing and I know my friends with very different hair types love them too.
