Do you think foundation primer is essential? Or can it be skipped?

Laina B.
Skip. It's not good for your skin to use it everyday

Sage S.
I use it all the time :)

It can be skipped in my opinion. Just make sure you use a good moisturizer.

If you use one to smooth your face or brighten then I would say everyday but if you just use it without a need for benefits (naturally smooth skin, naturally bright) then skip.

I think for some people it can be skipped all together but if you have problem skin and or oily, it's best to use a primer!

It can be skipped if you don't need your makeup to last more than a few hours otherwise if you have sensitive skin its essential as it acts as a barrier between your face and the products you put on your face just be sure to moisturize first.

Skip you should use a matte moisturizer, clinique has a great matte moisturizer which is called moisture surge it has really great results and makes a beautiful canvas (face) before applying makeup but keep in mind that it is not a primer though.

And it also doesn't have an oily residue

I use it! if you have acne or any skin "imperfections" it helps the foundation from looking blotchy and gross. but if you have nice, well behaved skin I'm sure you can skip.

I agree with Eileen

It's up to you! And it will just depend on your skin type. It makes my face feel super soft but I don't use it everyday. It's not a necessity for me.

My opinion on foundation changed after discovering primer. I use it with all my skin application that isn't BB cream.

It can be skipped. I never use primer.

I agree with Eileen. It is not always necessary but If you have troubled skin, it's a good idea. Oil free and matte moisturizers do a wonderful job for daily use and save those expensive primers for nights out and special occasions :)

I find if I don't use it my foundation gets patchy and dry so I use one meant for moisturizing daily.
