Hey you guys. I'm currently teaching myself makeup artistry and I feel like I have a lot of things covered except for transition colors. How do I know what a transition color should be? Help!

I guess you can use a color wheel...honestly I think its all in your blending technique...I also am self taught so I know how you feel...have patience and practice..good luck:-)

I think a good rule of thumb is that the transition color should be something in between the color in your crease (typically dark) and the color on your mobile lid because it's transitioning your dark crease towards something that is usually pretty light (your brow bone/highlight). I agree with Tiffaney though that it's mostly a blending thing. Also self-taught!

I stick with a brown. It brings it all together so to speak. Don't forget to blend, blend, blend.
