Has anyone got this straightening perm?? Any good or bad experiences anyone can share? I want to get it but not sure my hair will be suitable..I have african american and filipina hair...

A friend of mine did and her hair was super straight and shes mixed and has naturally curly hair prob 3c I think...the bad part was even when she washed her hair it wouldnt curl so she ended up growing out the perm to get back her curls.

It's extremely damaging, if you want more manageability try the Brazilian blowout, much more conditioning, your hair won't get bone straight so you will still have the versatility. As a hairstylist myself that deals with curly/ethnic hair 90% of the time, I would rather treat my clients hair with the Brazilian blowout over the Japanese straightener

Thanks for the replies :)...@Ashley I got the B blowout.. I wanted to completely get rid of my curls ( how sad I know lol).. I was upset that my hair was still curly.. I can imagine my hair becoming damaged by the Japanese perm...cause from BBO my hair feels more damaged and course. :(..its just a pain having to always flat iron my hair..
