Getting a haircut on Friday, wondering if I should get layers?

So I have really thick, long curly hair and I was wondering if I got a trim and layers if that would tone it down a bit and make it more managable. Help?

Definately get layers it will make your hair loads easier to brush and especially if I is curly and your hair frizzes when you brush it, having layers makes your hair a bit thinner to brush and when you brush, layers help your hair from frizzing as much, hope this helps. My hair was naturally thick and straight until I got layers now it's thinner and curly, my hair was easier to manage with layers xx
