You beautiful people have heard of a sidecut, right? I really want to get a double sidecut (a sidecut on both sides of my head). Has anyone else had this done? I'm in college and will have a couple of internships within I say 12 months. I think it was going to be summer of '14 when I have the first internship. Any insight on if it would be okay? I think I could hide it pretty easily.

You are in college your mom shouldnt have a say on your hair. I like it. I had one for two years and loved it.

Emily I have both sides cut and I love my hair. I am also a nursing student and work at the hospital once a week. I just use and you can't tell it's cut on the sides

Thank you all! And Stephanie, I live with my mom and she pays all my bills so she does have a lot of say. :/ I think I'll ask her tomorrow. I've made a list of pros and cons and I'll talk to her about them. Wish me luck!

If your internships are related to anything Criminal Justice, or Law Enforcement or anything concerning the government... they will drop you. I volunteer at the Police Dept and I've seen them send officers home just for light beard stubble and short socks, so becareful what you do with your hair and verify it beforehand.

You should verify and ask them what appropriate and inappropriate looks are.
I know some places don't even allow people to have hair color that isn't a natural color. ( YMCA for instance. )
