Been thinking about getting Dimple Piercings. Not sure if it's worth getting them. I heard they leave behind scarring && holes but eventually fade away. How long does that last?

Pain in the asses. Seriously. I took mine out once and let them grow over, my scars tend to fade quickly and 6 months later they were sooo dark. Not to mention some people are never able to heal them properly :/ I've heard some horrible stories. They're very temperamental too. I've had mine for 4 1/2 years now or so, and I've pissed one off somehow so now it's really red and peely, so I'm dealing with that now.
Honestly, had anyone told me what I was going to be dealing with I wouldn't have gotten them. I didn't do my research.

Also, while I do have other piercings as well, I've done the math and I've been asked approx. 1200 times "did it hurt?" It gets so old. With a more unusual piercing like cheeks, people are resilient to hassle you about them. Like, I've been followed into bathrooms by people asking me about them. I don't know if this makes any difference to you but I feel it's worth mentioning.

Yes, it does. But picture a backwards plateau. Not cute dimples. Sea salt soaks all the way, it's the only thing that helps.

They do create actual dimples for you if you don't have them already. Healing depends on the individual person. If you do decide to get them done make sure you do your research and get a good piercest to do them, see examples of dimple piercings they have done in the past, because it is super easy to have the piercings off and it looks bad if they are.
