That happened to me the first time I tried it as well. I don't know why it happens, but I resolved to just putting it on my hair when I step into the shower, leaving it on while I do everything else, then wash my hair last.

Just wash your hair a little better next time, and try to avoid over conditioning! When I do coconut oil I only condition for 2 minutes.

To avoid the greasy after look you should put shampoo on your hair before you wet it to wash out the oil. So on dry hands and oily hair just lather in some shampoo and then when it's all over in the hair rinse it out and none of the oil will be left.

Use little of the product. its for your roots not mane. keep it for half an hour and wash it properly with a mild shampoo. Washing your hair multiple times will just dry them out again.

Are you supposed to apply the coconut oil with wet or dry hair?
