You are definitely on the right track. Keeping like items together helps you stay organized and makes your routine go more smoothly. I would keep the brushes in a little pencil holder or cup. It helps you find the right brush right away. Here is an overall picture of my current setup. I will also post individual pics for a closer look as well. Hope this helps.

Meant to say that along with eyeshadow are my blushes. Keep in mind that organization is what works for you personally. Whatever you find the most comfortable to work with.

It is true that some makeup only lasts a little while. For me I tend to want to try so many different items, or just haven't found that perfect item that I end up withore than I need. Sometimes I have multiple types of items that I like depending ony mood. I also tend to give extra away to my girls.
