What is everyone's opinions on parabens? I know they are found in everything from lotion to sausages but I try to avoid them if I can. I generally buy lotions and body wash that are free of parabens (Burt's bee's). Do you guys go out of your way to look for paraben free products of just buy whatever?

In skincare and cosmetics it doesn't concern me too much. What I find alarming is it being in our food. And its in a lot...especially processed foods so I rarely buy it.

Shelley, I find that alarming as well. I read somewhere that blueberrys naturally contain parabens...but seriously, I'm not going to stop eating blueberrys. I guess it just makes me nervous to rub a lotion that has parabens all over my tatas since its linked to breast cancer.

Kelly...its not crazy thinking. Natural occuring parabens are better than man-made. Plus, the benefits of eating blueberries definitely outweigh the negative.

Does not concern me at all. I think people overreact. It's such a small amount, that it won't cause any serious harm at all.

Some foods like blueberries contain twice the amount of pesticides than other food an should be bought organic if you eat them a lot.and they still will have some pesticides on them just not as much I don't like chemical sun screens I only use physical and only up to spf 30 because spf 15 offers 97 percent protection form uva uvb rays so when you go into Spf 75 and 100 you don't get much more protection but you do get a ton more chemicals.

I only buy parabens free. They find parabens in cancer cells so I would rather be safe than sorry. A really good makeup brand is Tarte, it is all natural and it is very good for your skin.
