Hey guys I've been looking for a perfect foundation routine for a while and I gotta say Its really annoying me. I have heard great thinks about make up forevers HD foundation but it's a bit pricy. I've also heard good things about revlon's colorstay which of course is a bit cheaper. What I'm looking for is a foundation that works well with oily skin and had good coverage (I have a few acne scars). If make up forever is a better foundation then I'm willing to pay a bit more because to me it's worth it having struggled with bad skin for so long. So yeah I would love to hear your guys opinions! Thanks :)

From MUFE, I'd recommend Mat Velvet+ over HD. MV+ is meant for oily skins. (That said, I've not used HD.)

Colorstay has a formulation each for normal/dry skins and combination/oily skins. It's medium-full coverage, has a nice finish, but you will need to make sure you get your shade spot on, as it may oxidize. (I had a problem with this; if I were to try CS again, I'd need to buy a white foundation to mix with it, as I'm quite fair.)

MV is also medium-full coverage. As I remember it has more of a matte finish. I don't remember it oxidizing on me.

But ultimately, my experiences mean very little in the end. It's going to come down to which works better for you, and you're just going to have to try them out and see.
