How do I know what color lip stick to wear?!

I have very pale skin, and I have recently tried wearing lipsticks but light colors almost blend in with my face and bright colors are...well terrible! I don't know what I should wear..?

I say soft pink or classic pink (I guess that's what I'll call it) you can't go wrong with pinks in my opinion
