I've always wondered if its better to put on face powder on your face? Even after you've put on liquid foundation on.

If you have oily skin you can use powder to set it.

Yes because it sets your foundation making it last longer and making it not shiny.

What's the base primer for?

I don't set mine because I have really dry skin, but most the time if your normal/oily it will prolong the life of your foundation.

Tilly the bad primer is a refiner. It will smooth and even out the tone and texture of your skin before foundation. Making a flawless type coverage. It helps prolong the wear of your makeup as well, IF used correctly. Cleanse, moisturize, primer, foundation, set( either a spray or setting powder. And it only takes a very very small amount of primer ( sm pea sz) to cover your face so don't over do it with any of them. Tilly you are so beautiful and way to young to need such a full regimen everyday. There are some really good liquid to powder foundations out there, I won't give names because everyone is different. Save the special make up for special occasions.... OR Not.
You be you and are beautiful!

I don't wear powder on myself because I like a dewy look and I don't have oily skin

My skin is normal/dry and I only use powder on some days / with some foundations. I don't get oily, ever, so staying matte isn't an issue for me lol. I set my under eye area though. If you're oily, I'd recommend a powder.

I have oily skin and if I'm wearing a bb cream I won't powder but liquid foundation I will only powder in my t-zone and undereye area if wearing concealer. I can powder my whole face as I have dry zones.
