Okay, so last time I was at the mall these people from a kiosk came up to me and they were from a modeling agency and they asked me to put my name and number down. Out of all the girls that had fine by there I never ever EVER imagined they would actually call me!! I have an audition on Sunday and I'm so glad but I also feel like I'm amount to crap my pants I'm so nervous. Have any of you done this sort of thing before? Do you have any tips?

Ahh, yes. Auditions. Pretty much, just be confident and relaxed! Don't wear a lot of makeup. At a MAXIMUM wear concealer over dark circles and blemishes, mascara, blush, and lip gloss. Nothing heavy. At. All. Make sure it's very natural, because they really need to see your natural features so they know what they'd be working with. It's also good to wear tight clothes and nothing with a lot of pattern. That makes it easy for them to know what your body really looks like. If you have a big purse, bring heels and a swimsuit. Those are common things asked to be brought to auditions, and I don't know if they told you to or not? But yeah, just chill. It'll go fine. Be yourself, they like personality just as much as face and body.
BIG TIP. A lot of people try to scam girls with modeling. A rule of thumb is that if they ask you for money upfront, they're a scam.

I researched it, and your right it is a scam. I got my hopes up and everything.

Really? What agency was it, I wanna look it up.
And don't sweat it, hun. Even if it was a scam, they came up to you for a reason. You obviously look like you could model. I bet you could go get an audition somewhere else if you tried! You can become a model without someone asking you to.

Aw thank you! You don't know how much that means to me 😊
And it's called Barbizon. I read reviewed about it on this one site and few have it more than 1 star.

Well darn. That's so silly. Modeling scams are so common and it's just terrible.
You should probably just put together a portfolio and send it to modeling agencies that you've researched and know are legit, then!

Okay maybe I'll try that. Thank you so much!

Some places also have open calls on certain days. Pretty much they just let a bunch of aspiring models come in on a certain day at a certain time and take a look at some of them, so you could go to those too! Also, don't be put down if some places reject you. A lot of current top models got rejected by agencies 10+ times. No big deal, it happens.
