I have combinational skin and wear a dewy foundation I don't like matte finishes, is this contributing to my spot problem I have atm? Help I don't like matte tho :/

I suggest using a foundation for your skin type. If you go to sephora and talk to an associate, I'm sure they can help you. My skin is the same and I used to love dewy. So I'm currently on cover fx foundation and I spray a dewy finish spray by nyx. But now I spray a matte spray by nyx as well. Give it a try.

I have combination and find Dewey finishes work beautifully.
Blemishes can be from a lot of things not just your foundation. That being said it may just be the foundation you're using.
Don't completely rule out Dewey finish foundations.
You can try a bb cream I find they give skin a nice glow, if you need more coverage I'd say conceal then use a light powder like mac MSF to still give some glow.
But I love mac face and body because it's light on the skin and brightens my face up.

Yeh the acne is just on my forehead atm its pretty angry, I've never noticed a problem with my foundation until present so its probs totally unrelated but wondered if it would aggravate it? Would a anti bac mattifying lotion applied to that area before foundation be good?

You can try that, maybe a primer
I know blemishes on the forehead are also related to dehydration, so maybe you aren't drinking enough water/liquids
