Okay so I'm going to a party this weekend and I'm kind of freaking ou because there will people that I haven't seen for 7 or so years and I need to impress, is there any before-party rituals that any of you do to look EXTRA good?

Plan everything starting with outlook, nails, makeup, hair do etc, make sure they suit each other. The 1-2 evenings before don't eat after 6pm, it makes belly look more flat and the evening before take a relaxing bath, try to sleep enough,

I always exfoliate and put on a good mask before going anywhere I want to impress. Also a hair mask will make your look great, or a hair shine spray.

Ok this will sound horrible but hear me out. Eat before the party. NOT bc you don't want to look like you never eat but I think you will want to socialize. And I agree with Tal waterproof makeup and bring a small little makeup fix-me-up kit.

For me, I don't eat fatty foods. No carbs or things that will take forever for your stomach to process. Have small, often snack or a small lunch/dinner.

Although I am a bit scared self tanner because I always find that 9/10 girls can't pull it off and they end up looking really fake

I agree if you aren't confident in using self tanner than don't I got tanning but when I try self tanner it hard to evenly get the spots you want.

Yea, definitely :/ I tan really easily but sadly the sun is hiding at the moment so I'm going to have to stick with being pale as I'm way to scared to try self tanning

^ I heard that is a good brand. My favorite beauty YouTuber or someone put it on as their favorite items list. You can give that a go. That is a good suggestion. Just don't try anything crazy before this party LOl.

Self tanners can be tricky, but investing in a good brand is worth it. St. Tropez and the tarte tanner has more green undertones so it doesn't come out orange. And I never came out splotchy bc of the color guard. Always exploited and moisturize the elbows, ankles, and wrists. You can always try it afterwards though if you're nervous about it!
