Ugh piercings.
I got my ears pierced 4 years ago. I still have to clean them ( I use the Claire's solution). I clean them everyday but they still get infected and if I take them out for 5 hours or more they close up.
How should I clean them to make them heal and by the way I don't wear the cheapy earrings I wear sterling silver opal earrings.

... Maybe its the solution your using to clean it? How afftend do you change your earrings? And my friend has the exact problem.. Cant wear earrings!! She reacts all the time so she just let them close... If my advice doesn't work then I would just recommend not having them.

I use the Claire's solution right now I may start using rubbing alcohol, and I don't change them at all whenever I do they get infected. But I'm not going to let them close cause I've been cleaning them for 4 years that would just be a waste of work lol.

You could be allergic to the metal you re using.

You may be allergic to the metal in your eating! Try titanium or gold, more expensive than stainless steel. Also, don't use rubbing alcohol it dried up my stretchers and they got crackly and gross looking :/ it's better now haha but still it's not pleasant. I'd suggest making your own sea salt solution or getting a more expensive one from a credible piercing shop. Unscented antibacterial soap works as well.

You're basically allergic to fake earrings.
It's funny, I know but I have it.
Use real gold, real silver. My ears used to get big and swell up and look funny until my doctor advised my mom I couldn't wear fakes. I said bull it's just a hole. So little by little I started wearing cheaper earrings, etc.until finally they stopped bothering my ear. Granted I've never cleaned my ear hole a day in my life, nor have I ever heard of that.
