So I have dyed faded red hair and I wanted to know if there are any ways of naturally lightening it because I'm not a fan of hydrogen peroxide xx

Apparently lemon and going out in the sun helps.. When you dye your hair and you wash it the dye naturally fades off anyways..

If you lighten it from red it may go a coppery orange colour. If that's what you want go ahead haha. You can use lemon, and then go out in the sun (preferably when the suns most intense so around noon) do this every day for a week and it should go lighter. Careful because this may dry out the hair, so be sure you use a deep conditioning treatment after.

Also if you use the lemon method it's put lemon all over your hair and go out in the sun for 30 min.. This works mostly for blondes.. If you are a brunet then it might turn your hair to a reddish orangy colour..

Does it dry out your hair much? Would I have to get a conditioning treatment?
