Hello Lovelies!!
September has flown by and now October is rolling in with all its Halloween glory. I have gathered up quite a few September favorites to share with you. I am truly sorry for not sharing any of my summer favorites with you, but I was just so busy this summer and school starting has been stressful. I'm back though and with no further ado here are my September favorites.
The first favorite I have is actually a recent purchase. It is the Yankee Candle in the scent Autumn Wreath. It has a fruity undertone, but a spicy scent. The spiciness isn't too deep or overpowering, which I like. I purchased this candle in the medium jar size on sale at Bed, Bath & Beyond. It quickly fills the room with its scent. It really reminds me of early fall when the leaves are first changing and you start putting away your bathing suits and pulling out your sweaters. It isn't a very heavy scent, but it still has a lovely fall spiciness. If you are looking for a great fall candle I highly recommend you check Autumn Wreath out wherever you can purchase Yankee Candles in your town.
My next September favorite are my taupe oxford flats. They are from the brand Restricted and I got them from Francesca's Collection. They have taupe ribbon laces, and the detailing around the seams. They are super comfy, which I wasn't expecting because they were pretty stiff when I tried them on in store. The shoes are a good solid neutral, so they go with everything. I have been wearing these shoes nonstop because it isn't cold enough for boots yet, but my feet are starting to get a little chilly in sandals. If you're looking for some oxfords take a look at these ones at Francesca's.
My first beauty favorite, or should I say favorites, are the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliners. I have the brown and the black ones. They have amazing pigmentation. The black one is super black, and I love that because I often feel like black eyeliners aren't as black as they could be. The brown one is a good milk chocolatey brown color that complements any eye color without being as harsh as black. They are so creamy, and glide on my eyes without pulling or tugging. They stay on all day without fading, smudging, or rubbing off. They rival my beloved Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencils. I got mine at Target for under $4 each I believe. If you are on the market for a new drugstore eyeliner pick up these and don't even think about looking at any others because you won't find any that are nearly as good. These eyeliners come in tons of colors and I have seen them all over the place so you should be able to find them in most drugstores.
My fourth favorite is a cream eyeshadow. It's the Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze. It's a good shimmery, but not super shimmery, bronzy color. It doesn't crease and it last all day. It makes a wonderful base for you to put other shadows on top of and the pigmentation is really great. It really sets a great base for other fall eyeshadows. I have also recently started putting a little bit on an angled eyeliner brush and using it as a light eyeliner. It looks especially great on the bottom waterline. It defines that area of your eye but it is super light and not harsh at all.
My final beauty favorite has been the CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain in the shade number 440. It is a wonderful subdued berry color that isn't too dramatic and is great for fall. You can use just a little of this and have a sheer wash of color, or you can use more and get an opaque berry stain on your lips. The color is super long lasting. I think this would flatter most skin tones. The color oozes fall. You can pick these up pretty cheap at drugstores, and I think they are a great buy. They last all day so they are perfect for work or school, you won't really have to touch it up. It is one of those lip stains that looks like a marker, so don't expect a balmy stain. I suggest putting lip balm on about ten minutes after you apply this.
My song favorites for the month are Autumn Leaves by Ed Sheeran, All You Ever by Hunter Hayes, Roar by Katy Perry, and Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood. I'm not good at describing songs, so I just suggest that you check them out and decide for yourselves if you like them.
I hope all of you lovelies have a great October! If you want to see pictures or swatches of anything let me know. If you want a link to anyone of the songs just tell me, and if you have any comments or feedback please comment. Let me know what you loved throughout September. Have a great October!
Love
