Semi-formal party? Outfit help!

I'm going to a semi-formal birthday party for my friends 18th, and I need help for an outfit!
I don't want to overdress and some girls are wearing pencil skirts and guys will be wearing button downs with jeans so what would be an appropriate attire?

Maybe a cute shift dress or more fitted floral one with some heels and a clutch and a jacket if its cold? even a nice skirt and top is nice :)

Wear a body con dress with a sequined chunky sweater on top. or a skater skirt!

Wear a crocheted or cut out or sheer top and wear it with a skirt above the knees and booties.. or wear a dress with a blazer and tone it down with converse or vans or docs.. basically just make sure your outfit is a mix of dressy and casual.. :)
