They look more like spiral curls to me. how did you make them? to get soft fingerwaves it's best to start by pin curling your hair. make "c" patterns in opposite directions. one row going towards your face the next row facing the back. when you brush it out you will see an "s" pattern that you can then mold to define the shape better. hope that helps a bit.
