Wash your face with warm water and soap everyday, You could use a clay mask, and don't use moisturizer.

Do not skip out on moisturizer even if you have oily skin...especially if you're going to use a clay mask. Its not good to suck the life outta your skin even if its oily. I have oily/combo skin and I learned to just accept my oily skin but I keep it balanced. Its not insanely oily as it once was. I'm 39 years old and I learned that oily skin doesn't age as fast as dry skin so that is why I now accept the condition of my skin. I rarely pop up with acne as I revamped my diet...no dairy,no white food products (sugar is death for skin as it depletes your collagen) and heavily rely on veggies and fruit. Once I changed my diet no more acne. Now the only acne I get is hormonal but I started taking flaxseed oil and it has decreased big time. Products are great but diet has even a greater effect.

I agree with SHELLEY you have to mositurize and acne is caused by inflammation and bacteria if it is not hormonal and sometimes using harsh acne products backfire on you and put you in a endless cycle of trying to calm red irritated inflammed skin down try a gentle cream cleanser like cetaphil or cerave and there moisturizer and exfoliate with a gentle scrub or lactic peel twice a week try a tee tree toner instead of harsh ance products

And try fish oil pills or flaxseed they help reduce inflammation from the inside out.

A clay mask will certainly help. Try an astringent toner. Tone twice a day. Always moisturize! Try dr Thomas Roth max sheer all day defense with SPF 30! When you do not moisturize, you are actually doing opposite then what you want! Your skin will actually become dehydrated which with make you sebaceous glands produce more sebum to correct the dehydration. That means... More oil and breakouts! Find an esthetician in your area. Our purpose is to correct the ph balance in your skin and recommend an at home system that will regulate and continue healthy skin! Good luck!

If you want to get rid of oily skin without spending too much money on over rated products I recommend going with the natural methods listed in clear skin forever. Check out the review glamthread did here: http://bit.ly/16OH0LI! Hope this helps :)

I have had oily skin (and work in fast food which doesn't help at all!) and breakouts for a long time and started using Lush to help. It works so well and breakouts have stopped. So the list is 1) Herbalism face wash, 2) Coalface twice a week to exfoliate, 3) Tea Tree Water toner and 4) Enyzmion moisturizer with Cupcake face mask a few times a week. I love Lush because it's all natural stuff, some vegan but not all, so it's not as harsh as a lot of other stuff. It works and is also fun to use. Good luck! www.lushusa.com.

I've got oily skin, too. I just started a routine using 1) hardly any soap! I watch for sodium lauryl sulfate, and use cetaphil, just using fingers. After cleansing, I moisturize with hyaluronic acid serum followed by a vitamin c serum made with bottled water and ascorbic acid. simple, cheap, helps normalize skin, and erase the signs of aging. :)

Oh, and clay masks are the bomb. com for oily skin. I just mix the clay with a little apple cider vinegar and it's WONDERFUL.
