Why do people put baby powder in their hair.

So I can absorb the oil in their hair. Some people have extremely oily hair so they use powder.

It's abit like those dry shampoo sprays you can buy in drugstores basically it add volume to each strand at the root and absorb excess oil.

Yeah I use it to absorb excess oil. it works but you really have to manipulate it into the roots especially if you have dark colored hair as your hair will have a whitish tinge. I find it works better for me than dry shampoos... for some reason those make me feel oilier.

I have fine hair and it gets greasy really quickly so I use it as dry shampoo I also have highlighted hair an it makes my roots and natural hair lighter, make sure if you use it you rub it in well so you can't see it, also don't let it sit on your scalp.

I use it as a dry shampoo but mix it with cinamon, I like the smell and it doesn't leave my super black hair al gray, you can also use corn starch, to me it works better than the dry shampoo they sell.

I use a cheap face powder the same color as my scalp for dry shampoo. seems to blend with my brown hair pretty well. until I figured this out baby powder was my go to.
