So I bought this gorgeous black peplum sleeveless shirt with a lace neckline with the intent to wear it as a part of my concert blacks (I play in an orchestra and other university music ensembles) but the uniform calls for "at least 3/4 sleeves" so no shoulders allowed...
What's a good covering for my upper half that still shows off the pretty lace and flare of the peplum? I was thinking maybe a short blazer or shrug but it has to be something that won't slip or fall off while I'm playing.
Thank you all for your advice!

Two things I haven't thought of! Thanks girls. I'd be a little concerned about the leather jacket since I have to be able to move my arms more freely than I think a (new) leather jacket would allow but I love the idea!

Either a cardigan or a blazer. even a bolero would work if you can find one with long enough sleeves.
