I know a few girls who use baby oil to remove their makeup and I was wondering if it's bad for your skin. because I've been tempted to try it. thank you :)

Depends on what you believe. Controversial. Since it contains mineral oil...which is derived from petroleum it may be contaminated with cancer causing PAHs. Though mineral oil itself is not comedogenic, it can be because it sits on top of your skin. And can trap poorer clogging debris.

*pore. So just make sure you wash it all off if you intend to use it!

Why everyone thinks that substances derivated from petroleum are bad?? when it's extracted, petroleum contains overs 17000 substances used in a lot of industries, inclusive food, cosmetics etc... and I have to say that this substances are less allergic than 'natural' ones like lemons etc.
I often use petroleum jelly for feets, and like it more than other creams. sorry I know it's off topic

If you have acne prone skin stay away from baby oil because, contrary to popular belief, mineral oil does clog pores and it aggrivates the bacteria that causes acne. Oil treatments are great though. Use castor oil and mix it with either jojoba or almond :3 the properties also help destroy breakouts and fade scars

Not everyone thinks petroleum is bad otherwise the products wouldn't sell. But petroleum has been found to have poly aromatic hydrocarbons which has been linked to cancer. Like I said, controversial. Only matters if it's something you're concerned about. Glad petroleum jelly works for you, but it does nothing in terms of healing or hydrating. It's just spreading an occlusive layer to prevent transepidermal water loss.

I understand what are you talking about, but I have my opinion about cosmetics in general. To make a long story short I think that beauty products just mask issues, don't treat them. If you have dry skin, any cream won't solve this, only a strong health can. Appearances in one word.

Agreed. Good skin starts from within :)

If your face is acne prone in ANY way stay far away from it. It will clog your pores and break you out so fast it's not even funny. I have extremely dry skin and was using it to shave and it actually made my body break out, which never happens.
