Is contouring necessary??

I see all these pics of highly sculpted faces. I don't like contour especially heavy on an everyday basis. Is it necessary?

I'm a blush girl. Contour is for special occasions. Nars orgasm use to be my go to until I bought UD naked flush.

I only contour cheek area and I don't do it often. That is the only area of my face that I do. When I used to compete my artist would do a full contour on me so my face wouldn't get lost under the stage lights.
