If I use a base coat on my nails will it make my nail polish chip faster? Or should I just skip that process?...

Use a base coat. It protects your nail from yellowing/staining, helps with a smoother application, and will actually help prevent chipping. :)

Always use a basecoat! Because some nail polishes leave stains in the nails so its good if you use a base coat to protect your nails.
