I recently bought it and I am applying it on my stretch marks and operation scar. Will it work?

Some peoplesay that they can see a difference but my mom used it and it didnt work. I have a scar on my knee and I went to the dermatologist and I had a cream prescribed and she uses it amd we have both had better results with that.
