Ways to wear summer favourites in fall?

I'm usually a plain jeans girl in the fall but I want to take some of my summer clothes into fall.

What do you think of black leggings and denim short shorts together? With a brown boot?

Any other ideas? I'd like to wear a teal sun dress with leggings and a braided belt and some boots, maybe a blazer or unbuttoned plaid shirt... Please tell me if I'm misguided in these efforts! Haha

^ I agree I hate shorts and leggings together. I think leggings should be worn on their own tbh. But wear tights/pantyhose

I think shorts and leggings look cute if it's worn with a regular tshirt and gym shoes not boots. And I think they only look good with Jean shorts not like different colors but I think you could pull it off if you wanted to

Ok yeah the boots were questionable haha. I feel like leggings and a shirt looks weird without something covering your crotch :S
