Makeup on others tip!?

I'm doing some girls makeup for homecoming. I've done my friends makeup a couple times but is there any tips that anyone could give about doing other's makeup? Just some little helpful things I should keep in mind because I don't want to mess up and I want to the girls to like it! Thanks!! xo.

Make sure the foundation is the right shade, do the makeup in natural light. Plan a look for them and let them know right at the start so they know what to expect, and if they want something different they'll let you know. :)

Have them look down when doing their mascara or cover their vision somehow.. Most women don't know how to use mascara to the full extent so it can be very annoying when they move and blink around, and by explaining they don't understand.. so you're left to do it with a blinking twitching person.
Ask them to bring their own foundation, and if there is anything that they must have on their face or that they want in particular that they always do.
What I like to do is have them come in on a free day so I can practice doing what they'd have to like done, that way their not obligated to go with a look they don't really like. By doing this it allows you to pick up on their face and skin.. ( Kind of like when you do your own make up, the more you practice the better. )
