I use the Bare Escentuals Well-Cared for Brush Conditioning Shampoo: http://m.bareescentuals.com/Well-Cared-For-Brush-Conditioning-Shampoo/35600,default,pd.html. I use this on all my brushes every 2 weeks. Brushes are expensive and need to be taken care of! Plus, it will keep your makes up and your face cleaner! Less bacterial growth. Make sure you can have the brushes air dry for 12+ hours.

Dawn Dishsoap is good for the foundation brush (mix with warm water), Clinique brush cleaner is good for shadow brushes.

Place the brush portion over your sink laying down, and let them air dry!
