Something I've noticed on this site is that there are a lot of people asking for hair coloring/bleaching advice. And in return I see a lot of people giving out information that is entirely wrong.

As a professional I would just like to warn people that not everyone posting on here has enough experience and knowledge to give you proper advice. It's wonderful to see so many people trying to help out fellow Beautylish members, but a lot of the advice I've seen on here is more hurtful than helpful. So please, be very careful about who you're taking advice from.

Also, if you have any questions on haircolor, bleach, or anything else I am a licensed professional and I'd be more than happy to answer your questions. (:

When first time bleaching how bad is the damage?

Amber - Normally it isn't too horrible. It's usually a little dry and you should use a deep conditioner often and you shouldn't use much heat on it for a maybe a week, or longer depending on the damage. But it really depends on what volume developer you use, what you have done to your hair in the past, and how much lighter you are wanting to go.

All in all, first time bleachings usually go well.

Crysalis - I would recommend It's a 10 products, especially their miracle hair mask. These products are usually kind of expensive but they are more than worth it. If you can not afford them, always be sure you are using a sulfate free shampoo, a decent conditioner, and some sort of leave in conditioner or oil.

Crysalis - Good. They work very well. They're like the only thing I use.
