I am 14 years old, I have very thick curly ringlet type hair and it drives me crazy. A lot of the time, I straighten it. But lately I have been thinking about chemically straightening it. Worth it?

I've heard it's very damaging but I don't know.

You could just get your hair thinned. It's much easier and safer.

I agree just thin it. Or embrace it. Chemicals are going to do a lot of damage. I don't think its worth it. Youre young, wait some more time you might learn to love your hair :))

Yeah, I've never had it done but it's most likely extremely damaging.
It straight out says chemically, can you imagine how good that sounds for your hair? :/
I wouldn't do it. Embrace your natural hairdo, or get your hair thinned as Sumaiya suggested. :)

Wait it out and see if you like it!
You're young and healthy young hair is hard to achieve after damage!
Keep string and search the web for easy hair styles to fit your hair texture.

Olivia , relaxing your hair will and would take away all of its natural moisture. Its extremely damaging in every way! if you do that, when you decide you want your curls back, you have to chop it off! I've fought with my hair my entire life, and only now am I beginning to work with it and embrace it! My hair is tightly curly , slightly kinky with a twist. By the way , I am biracial, so I have the softness with the awesome ringlets. Anyways, did you notice that girls with straight hair curl it all the time , that they want perms to make their hair like ours? And almost every teenage girl I have come across has stick straight hair with premantabt damage from straightening every day! Do you really want to look like everyone else? Embrace your beautiful hair! Natural is always in style!
