Eyeshadow color help

I have blue/grey eyes, depends on what I'm wearing, but I've always been confused on what colors go well with my eye color. I also have really dark hair so I need colors that would bring out both. Any suggestions?? Also I've heard that every color goes with every eye color it just depends on how you wear it. What do you all think?
