So recently I've started to shave in my bikini area and I've come up in a red rash and it looks like little whiteheads, does anyone know ways to prevent this or is it natural?

You can still get bumps from waxing to shave I use bikini zone shave gel as well as bikini zone ointment for after wards but waxing you do get less bumps I was waxing all the time for over a year but hated waiting to get it waxed again so I began to shave again you will still get a little bit of a rash with bikini zone but it helps a lot.

Veet hair removal cream for the bikini area comes with a finishing cream for after which soothes and prevents those breakouts

Which way do you shave? Instead of going up and against the hairs I go side ways and then all the stubborn tiny hairs that don't leave I shave upwards to get rid of. I hardly ever get bumps after shaving now. Try this and maybe it'll help? =]

I love the bikini zone after ointment! But honestly, I've switched to like a dudes mustache trimmer down there, other than the bikini line itself, no it doesn't get quite as close but you lessen the chance for infection and doesn't cause irritation.

I use a five blade razor and I get no irritation whatsoever. If I use any other kind I have the same problem

I get that too. Before you shave exfoliate gently with a loofa or washcloth. Use shaving cream. Shave in the direction the hair grows unless its a "special occasion". After use toner or rubbing alcohol on the area (only on the pubic mound) and then apply a thick lotion or petroleum jelly. Works for me.

I started a year ago I use hair codition insted of shaving cream it softens the hair folicles so there's less ingrown hairs (the white heads) gently exfoilate before you shave when your body gets used to it (and you too) they will go away.

Elle Fowler once mentioned a great product for that problem in one of her videos... I'm quite sure it was a makeup mayhem video she did with missglamorazzi, in may. Maybe try to look that up if you want to ;)
