Yes the intense red is a blue base but the hue is a bit darker than the ruby woo which is another fave but for some reason I finding it more drying than the smash box one...

Sephora has a red cream lip stain I love as well. It's matte. It's their only red cream lip stain. It's called strawberry.

Rachael t: the lime crime velvetines In red velvet and Nars velvet lip pencil in dragon girl are bother blue based reds. Dragon girl is a bit lighter, but still really blues based.

ELF has a really good matte red. I believe the color is called Rich Red, I forget what the title of the type of lipstick is called, but it has "matte" in it. If you can find Urban Decay Revolution (the color, not their new line), it is soooo good!
