I religiously read beautylish and have noticed that you grls/guys do your liner after the shadow. I have always done it before my shadow. have I been doing it wrong for many many (many!!) years?

After bc if your putting a base color on your lid it could smudge your line.

I've never really even thought of doing it before. The eye shadow would cover it up a lot I think.

I always do my liner after my shadow, just makes sense to me.

If you're tightlining then it can be good to do that first so that when if you need to pull your eyelid up to do your upper water line you won't ruin your eyeshadow, but for lining the actual lash line I'd say it needs to be done first otherwise you will get eyeshadow over your liner and it won't look as crisp and clean. I do sometimes do it first if I want to do a subtle smokey eye though, I'll line my eyes then smudge it out with a slightly lighter shadow.

Thank you all & especially kim that's pretty much my look but reading the posts on here I thought I was wrong! but I guess there is no right or wrong its personal & I've even had (genuine ) compliments on my eyes but sometimes it only takes one little thing for me to second guess myself & than I succumb to my insecurities & hide in my shell again :) thanks again appreciate you all!!
