It's great when you are in a rush and don't have the time to put on sunscreen or use a foundation brush, because most bb creams contain high SPF and they are so easy to apply! I prefer korean bb creams to american ones, they have more coverage and more skin care benefits.

I don't think so. They're considerably lighter on your face which I consider great for the summer as I don't like wearing foundation in the heat. Plus a GOOD BB cream will do what it's supposed to and actually help your skin, not just act as a sun block.

I think so but if you don't really have much to cover up/ have very dry skin it's perfect

Depends which one you use.

Western "BB Creams" are not true BB Creams... They can be good products, but they're missing the point. Eastern BB Creams have many skin benefits and different uses, and aren't at all overrated in my opinion :)

I actually really like bb creams. I was cynical at first reading all the reviews about western ones but I really wabted to lay off foundation everyday as my skintone is really weird and nothibg seemed ti match perfectly, and they all seemed too heavy. I went fir the loreal nude magique and I love it! totally reokaced my foundation, my skin looks so much better. and as for coverage. I have scars left from spots even though I don't touch them and the bb cream does a good job covering it, and I use less concealer too. overall I'd recommend a bb cream. do your research for your skin tyoe but it can really look good and lighten up the heavy makeup

I think so. I only purchased one BB cream and I did really like it for a while but then it started breaking me out and I finally said forget it and went back to using foundation. I don't have perfect skin by any means so I get a little peeved at BB creams to start off with because I need full coverage. BB creams, to me, are made only for people who have near perfect, acne-free skin. They kind of leave out the rest of us who don't have nicer skin. Some of us need a little more than to even out our tone. So for me, BB creams are a fail. Someone also brought up a really good point that the BB creams here in the states are not the way BB creams are supposed to be. They're watered down and a lot of the concept got lost in translation I think. I honestly think a lot of companies are just using it to cash in on a trend. They're basically selling tinted moisturizer with the BB cream tag attached to pull people in. But of course, if it works well for you or someone else then by all means you should use it. But I personally don't like them and feel its just a trend that is overrated now. Some companies are already jumping into making CC creams. I feel like it's going to turn into the same situation as the Naked eyeshadow palettes. They're going to make one product that does really well and then keep spewing out more products that are stemmed off from that instead of creating new, original products.
Anyway, I didn't mean to rant but that's basically how I feel in a nutshell lol.
