I've sun burnt my scalp and now it's really red and painful can anyone recommend any way of being in the sun and avoiding this?! If I dab sun cream on my scalp it goes in my hair and looks greasy.

Wear a hat :-) I burnt my scalp along my parting not long ago and putting after sun on before I went to bed then washing off in the morning it helped loads :-)

I have the same problem. right now my scalp is peeling, needless to say it's disgusting. the best thing is just like a nice sun hat. which I need to buy myself one.
