Hi i am trying to get my two toned hair going i have natural black/brown hair. the top part is brown black and the bottom i had to dye red cause i tried to get it blonde and it turned orange i am planing on trying to get it blonde any ideas????? Please help i dnt want Halloween colors tryna get it blonde so i could make something like pink or purple or red to look brighter and so you can actually see the color. are you trying to lighten natural hair or colored hair? You were probably on the right track with the orange, it may have just needed to be toned.

I tried with natural hair then it turned orange so i had to dye it brown then i tried again and that turned orange too

hmm... If your natural hair color is very dark, you'll probably have to bleach it to get it blonde and then tone it? And that's not good for your hair. I don't know, maybe you should search some videos or tips from youtube etc? :)

i just recently did this i had dark brown hair and went platinum blonde. You do have to bleach it, i had to bleach it twice. yes it is pretty harsh on ur hair but if you want blonde you gotta do it, i deep conditioned alot to get it nice and healthy before i bleached it the first time, it was still yellowish so i toned it once conditioned it a week then bleached it again and toned and finally achieved my color! if your hair turns yellow or brassy orange you want to use a violet/blue toner. i used redkin platunim ice, titanium, and irish creme toners, you may have to get this done by a professional hairstylist if u arent one. hope this helpss!

I tried many times... & even experienced the glow in the dark pumpkin color & the shocking Platinum. My 'real' hair color is a medium brown.. ended up going to a salon .. and now i get high lights & low lights.. didn't seem to be able to get it right on my own. Curious to see if there is a way... Good Luck!
