So I'm nineteen, starting college, and I really just want to get rid of the little girl bedroom. the only problem is my room is huge. I have a new area rug, I've redone my shelves a little, and I don't want to get rid of stuff people have given me, but everything from my curtains to the excessive amount of stuffed animals in my full length closet is just overwhelming. yes, I was spoiled, for twelve years. I can do it on my own with what I have I just don't know where to start. I have a lot of furniture including TWO desks, one for sewing, one for homework. and I just don't know how to work with everything. but you ladies are geniuses and come up with the best ideas I just love your opinions.

You can try playing around with colors and moving furniture around maybe? And just get rid of all the little girl stuff and get all new "grown up" things that you're into now lol I love projects like these and would love to help you but a picture of your room would help a lot! :)

Try the ikea Alex 9 draws! They are the best thing for storage and they look really nice. Some really gorgeous colours are pink black and white. They may seem little girly at the moment but when you add an accent of black it looks so elegant. Also chose and inspiration eg. Audrey Hepburn, Mariyln Monroe etc. to add picture of around the room or a manquin with your favourite outfit on. Hope this is helpful x

I would love to post a pic unfortunately I'm having major troubles with my phone (time for the upgrade). but I LOVE these ideas:) I failed to mention my walls are a beautiful light winter mint (few shades lighter than lime green). I have experimented a little with the pink, its just an overwhelming project.
