This should help now this is a true smokey eye look its meant to be dark and fade to light its an opposite affect in no way is there a lighter color on your lids to achieve this look just practice and you'll get it in no time.Remember dark fades into light blend it out  :-)

Blend out the edges a little bit so that are more soft. you don't want to see any harsh lines. other than that looks nice. try a very light sodt.brown to soften the edges
