@ hollie: some nail polishes are too thick &/or dry too fast. & you have to be quick with it. use light, watery paints.
@ felicia: your welcome (: it might take a few tries...lol I've tried it like 10 times on my best friend & it never worked.

Yes, its hard...you have to find the right nail polish & it takes a lot of time. & thank you (:

Thanks for the tutorial. Water marbling is really fun. I prefer using cuticle oil or vaseline around the nails instead of tape for easier cleanup. When I tried the tape, the polish that was on it smeared onto my hand. Messy. Using room temperature water helps and make sure the polish is not "quick or instant dry". Sinful Colors is a brand that works great for marbling. I also found if the drop of polish doesn't open right you can gently swirl the cup to try helping it expand. This makes me want to go home and get out my polish. :)

Here are some I have done. Pre cleanup though.

This is cool - am I being dumb but what does the tape over the nails do or am I looking at the picture wrong?

Jul 24, 2013

Jade S.

CorCor you put the tape around the nails.

Jul 24, 2013

Kaitlin T.

Corcor: you put tape on to keep access nail polish from getting on your skin.

Ah I see thanks it looks from the picture the tape is actually over the nail that's why I was like "how does that work" I think I need some new specs lol
