Has anyone ever used erythromycin topical gel 2%? did it help? which way is best to use it??

I took erythromycin pills and used the topical gel. It was great for about 6 months and then you have to go on a 3 month break otherwise your body becomes too tolerant of the antibiotic and it becomes ineffective.
