Hi ladies,
so I've mastered brows, eyeshadow, and lips, now I can't seem to get a foundation routine down. I have rather enlarged pores on my nose and cheeks. please share your experiences, suggestions, and etc. concerning how you developed your foundation routine.
thanks

I use benefits porefessional primer to fill in large pores. Or nyx has a pore filler primer for less. Make sure you are using a foundAtion that is good for your skin type. Like if you have oily skin make sure your foundation is oil free. Same goes for your moisturizer and primer. I have tried using a stippling brush to apply, a dupe for the beauty blender and most recently the sigma f80 brush to apply foundation which is by far my favorite of all. Sometimes you have to try a few different things before you find what works best for you.

I would recommend using biore pore strips to unclog and shrink the pores on your nose. It'll make a huge difference. I'd also invest in a good primer. I've tried a couple but have yet to find one that I love. Lately I've been using my Garnier BB cream as primer under my bare minerals. I've also heard a lot of good reviews on the benefit porefessional primer. Maybe you could try using that. Good luck gf!

Also applying foundation with a wet.sponge or brush helps even everything out, gives a flawless finish. Always look for oil free products.

I'm currently experimenting with foundations.. I've gone through obsessing with eyeshadows, eyebrows, and nail polishes.. Now obsessing over skincare and finding the right foundation for my combo/sensitive skin that tans super easily (so finding the right shade is hard!)
You definitely want to make sure you have a good skin care regimen, exfoliate regularly and I've also started to use the biore pore strips to get the gunk out of my pores.
I then make sure my skin is moisturized before I put on my make up. Also using a good primer is essential, I use benefit 15 hour primer (amazing!), apply my bb cream/foundation with my sigma f80 brush (love!) and set my foundation with mac's mineralize skin finish or loreal's true match foundation. Hope that helps!

It's taken me a long time to get mines down. I have extremely oily skin so my routine changes when the seasons do. Right now, I don't add moisturizer to my face (it's that oily). I use milk of magnesia then add my tinted moisturizer to my face (with my beauty blender). I let that sit for about 5 minutes then I take my Elf powder brush and blend that out. Then I'll add my concealer (let that sit), setting powder and then so on..The trick for my skin to look flawless or smooth, is to allow everything that I add to my face settle before moving onto the next.
To help minimize your pores, I heard the Benefit porefessional and Becca ever-matte poreless primer perfector is great.

Rosanna, yes.I've definitely fibe through that stage now I'm more focused on other aspects of makeup such as skincare products and etc.I tried the biore strips, but they didn't work for me.I always moisturize before makeup. it does help and I will practice more.

Dominique, I have struggled with the same thing! I bought this bar soap by Lush its a sea weed soap and it seemed to smooth out my skin really well. I know you are thinking bar soap on my face? No Way! But it won't dry you out I love it, my makeup has never gone on more smooth. I also use three dream cream on my face it has tea tree oil its the biggety bomb!!
